New Hype Train emotes coming soon
5 new Twitch Hype Train emotes are set to be released sometime later this month. So far, only one has been revealed, named FrogWow. These emotes are hand-drawn and animated by Tom Thinks.

Limited testing of Skippable Ads on Twitch
Skippable ads on Twitch are currently being tested mentioned via Zack Bussey. First discussed during TwitchCon 2022 at Patch Notes Live, Mike Minton, Head of Monetization at Twitch, mentioned that skippable ads have been on their list of features to explore. He noted with a mid-roll format skippable ads would have far less earning per viewer.
No Tax On Tips bill includes streamers
The "No Tax on Tips" is a federal tax deduction for tipped income, targeting service workers and also includes streamers/ online creators. It started as Trump's campaign promise on June 9, 2024.
After Trump's 2024 election win, it passed as part of the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act", signed July 4, 2025. As of Sep 3, 2025, it's active law: deduct up to $25k in tips annually from taxable income until 2028.
Twitch Rolls Out Experimental Moderation Overhaul
Sliders for Simpler Chat Control Twitch has launched an experimental update to its Moderation Settings page, aiming to make chat management easier for streamers. The revamped interface features intuitive sliders to quickly adjust key areas like Chatter Permissions, AutoMod & Message Filtering, and Channel Protection accessible on both desktop and mobile devices. For those who prefer granular tweaks, advanced settings remain fully intact.
Announced via their support account, the rollout is gradual, with more users gaining access soon.
